Michelle Holgate, Tasting Room Host
Seneca Lake lured Michelle home after a 30 year career in real estate development in Burlington, Vermont. Although she loved Vermont, Michelle spent all her vacations and free time returning to this magnificent area where family and so many of her friends remain. It also puts her halfway closer to her grandson in Ohio! Michelle joined the Atwater Team knowing it is one of the premier wineries in the area that takes pride in giving its visitors a memorable wine tasting experience.
Michelle enjoys sharing Atwater's gorgeous view of the lake and welcoming everyone to the exciting, expanding Finger Lakes region. As a Cornell Cooperative certified Master Gardner, Michelle is learning invasive species monitoring and is an active volunteer in the Seneca Lake Pure Water Association’s analysis of streams in the Seneca Lake watershed. In her spare time she enjoys listening to live music, sailing or boating of any kind and studying Brazilian/African percussion rhythms. Come on in, relax, enjoy great wines and great conversation!
